History of the Club
The Mercy Chess Club has been operating for a number of years.
Over the time, there has been a increased interest in the sport. In 2013 Mercy Team 1 became the regional leader by winning the Interschool Tournament and qualifying to compete in the State Titles. The team travelled to Brisbane to represent Mackay-Whitsundays in the State Titles.
In 2014 the Mercy Team also won the Interschool Tournament and has qualified to compete in the State Titles in Brisbane. The team will again travel to Brisbane for the State Titles in October 2014.
